The fans at ANN and AniDB seem to rate the first series with about a 6.5
They seem to think the second series is bit better with a 7.5
From what I have seen the shows start out pretty good.
The first series seems better animated than the second, with the character designs being pretty much the same.
Prodution values seemed to change quite drasticly to the "more economic" in the second series.
BUT that seems to be the trend unless something is massive money maker or an OAV.
